Tottenham Willing To Pay £50m For Bastoni
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly leading the race to sign Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni this summer.
The 23-year-old has been a key player for Inter since breaking into the first team in 2019, and has helped the club win the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia. Bastoni was also part of the Italy squad that won the 2020 European Championship, and some of Europe’s top clubs have shown interest in signing him.
According to reports, Tottenham are willing to pay £50m for Bastoni. However, Inter are said to be holding out for a fee of around £60m. With just one year left on his current contract, though, Inter may be forced to sell Bastoni this summer if they want to avoid losing him for free next year.
Bastoni Would Be A Valuable Addition To Tottenham’s Squad
Bastoni is a left-footed center-back, who is comfortable playing in a back three or a back four. He is a good passer of the ball, and he is also strong in the air. Bastoni would be a valuable addition to Tottenham’s squad, as he would provide competition for Cristian Romero and Eric Dier.
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is a big fan of Bastoni, and he tried to sign him when he was manager of Inter Milan.
