Meadows Seeks Protection from Georgia Case

Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has asked the Supreme Court to recognize immunity for presidents' subordinates, arguing that he is immune from prosecution in a Georgia case alleging that he tried to overturn the 2020 election results.

Meadows Charged in Georgia Case

Meadows is one of 18 people charged in the Georgia case, which accuses him of trying to pressure state officials to change the results of the election. The case is scheduled to go to court on Monday, but Meadows is seeking to have it moved into federal court.

Contempt Resolution Against Meadows

The House of Representatives voted on Tuesday to hold Meadows in contempt of Congress for refusing to cooperate with the January 6th Committee. The resolution will now go to the House floor for a vote.
