2024 French Open Roland Garros: ATP and WTA Favorites
Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic Top Men's Contenders
The 2024 French Open Roland Garros tournament is set to take place in Paris, France, from 20th May to 9th June. The entry list for the ATP tournament has been announced, and it features some of the biggest names in tennis.
Among the men, world number one Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic will be among the favorites for the title. Alcaraz has been in excellent form in 2023, winning the US Open and reaching the final of the Australian Open. Djokovic is a 21-time Grand Slam champion and a former winner of the French Open. He will be looking to add to his tally this year.
Alexander Zverev, Jannik Sinner Among Other Top Men's Contenders
Other contenders for the men's title include Alexander Zverev, Jannik Sinner, and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Zverev is a former world number three and a two-time Grand Slam finalist. Sinner is a rising star in the sport and he has already won several ATP titles. Tsitsipas is a former ATP Finals champion and he will be looking to make a strong challenge at the French Open this year.
Top Favorites Seek Glory
The women's entry list has not yet been announced, but it is expected to feature some of the biggest names in the sport. Iga Swiatek, the world number one, will be the favorite for the title. She has been in dominant form in 2023, winning the Australian Open and Indian Wells. Coco Gauff, Ons Jabeur, and Aryna Sabalenka will be among the other contenders for the women's title.
